I built my first darkroom under the basement stairs when I was about 14. My first job as a professional was at the age of 16 as a photographer and reporter for a small town newspaper in Ohio. After college, I worked as a crime reporter and photographer for The Columbus Dispatch. Later, I owned my own photography service, advertising agency, and suburban newspaper before venturing into a variety of other things.
