Poetry...

I seldom share the poetry I've written. The reasons are many; not the least of which
is that if we knew how close to the edge of insanity we sometimes dance, we would all be
predisposed to redefine its boundaries! Here are a few poems.

voices from the desert of my mind...

Journeys
Celestine—A Life in Five Verses
Rivers
Here's to You, Ponce
Miami Nights
To Bev...
(Not mine...but I like it!)

And if you've not read Rumi, I urge you to do so. Few voices have ever expressed such beautiful vision, acceptance, compassion, and understanding.
He's led me to a deeper understanding of my own spirituality (he wrote: "All prayer rugs point in the same direction"). These words came into my
consciousness while meditating on a predawn walk in the Arizona desert a few years ago:

It may very well be true that the spiritual beliefs of others are right;
but not if they insist in any way that those of others are wrong.
